True

This is the sound that swims inside me
This circle surrounds me
This is the land that grows around me
And these are the hands that come in handy
Well we've known we've known
We've had a choice
We chose rejoice

Tattooed Lip Liner is Weird

So, I try to keep on the up and up as far as politics and world news goes. Tonight I found out who does not. Who may you ask? Sarah Palin. Palin was interviewed by Charlie Gibson on ABC last week on ABC and I am just now getting around to see it. I heard snippets of it on Fresh Air last week but never caught the rest of it. I was a bit surprised to see just how little Palin knows, about anything it seems. Gibson had trouble, as most of you saw, getting a straight answer from her because she a) had no answer or b) was caught. I had heard Palin was inexperienced, but wow.

As far as the interview went it was pretty entertaining seeing that happen. I was laughing and at the same time yanking my hair out every time I would remember that this woman from Alaska who really cannot relate to the rest of the country is McCain's pick for VP. She has lived in Alaska her entire life. How can one expect this woman to know the problems of the rest of this country, aside from what her aides can tell her. She also wants to go to war with Russia and Iran apparently. Really, already? You haven't received one vote and you are already spouting off about going to war with Iran and Russia. Does anyone remember reading or hearing about some missiles in Cuba when Kennedy was in office? Fuck that. I can't handle someone who is out to kill us all. I live in Florida; when there's a blustery south to north wind I can smell the Paella and cigars.

On a lighter note, I laughed at this picture.

End.

This train ain't stoppin son...

This train ain't stoppin son.... Uttered the old man as he stumbled through the doorway. As I watched him, I immediately filed that statement away as more incoherent mutterings of elderly homeless vagabonds.
I get alot of that when I work at the homeless shelter; alot of life's lessons as filtered through the eyes of the homeless. Thus, alot of life's lessons from people who have been beat down by life so hard that when they try to get back up again they cannot because of weakness. I can only hope to never have to live through that experience. I have to say though that that statement stuck with me for some time, while at work today I just thought of it while cooking cabbage and cutting chicken. The most random occurence really, having no conscious realization as to why that thought may have come back into light, I went with it. As I started to think about this I too came to the realization that the train doesn't stop. The railways seem to be quite busy for me as of late. Time has been moving forward at an accelerated pace lately it would seem to me. I don't nessecarily know if that this is a good thing or not, but I am here with it. I wonder sometimes whether I am not doing enough with said time. I don't feel as if I'm not filling my time with enough reasonable and exciting pursuits to satisfy the average joe, I just feel that if I have enough time to sit back and think about time passing me while I am cutting chicken, well maybe that cutting chicken just isn't a task that is worth the time. In reality its just 30 minutes of calculated risk with a blade and succumbing to the slimyness that is a bag of raw chicken (which is really gross).

Sometimes I have these thoughts in the middle of the day for no apparent reason. I wonder to myself why these things happen and continue to happen when I am least expecting it.

Take it off my hands.

I have a 1987 Volkswagen Vanagon that I bought about 3 1/2 yrs ago. I need to sell it, just get rid of it in general. I am asking $ 3000 OBO or trade , whatever you got, if reasonable will be considered. Its a great van, just needs constant maintenance and right now, I can't give it as much as it needs. New transmission along with a multitude of other things. This van has alot of potential to be really awesome, just needs a little help.
